10.22 原子气体结构 atomic gas structure

近日，中国科学院国家天文台利用被誉为“中国天眼”的 500 米口径球面射电望远镜（FAST）进行成像观测，在致密星系群及周围天区，发现了 1 个尺度大约为两百万光年的巨大原子气体系统。这是迄今为止，在宇宙中探测到的最大的原子气体系统。

The "China Sky Eye", also known as the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST), has spotted a huge atomic gas structure in the vicinity of a galaxy group. The linear scale of the atomic hydrogen structure reaches some two million light-years, the largest one of its kind ever discovered in the universe.
